SPOTLIGHT ON ... THE LAMBING SHED
Charlotte: We love the fact you are a family business just like us. The Lambing shed began with Farmer Arnold Mitchell and his son Michael who began rearing their sheep there over 60 years ago. You still have sheep and beef cattle on the farm and showcase them on your menu. What other delights can we expect from your offerings at the lambing shed?
Jenna: The Lambing Shed Café serves a delicious menu based entirely around local, high quality produce and the finest meat from our Butchery. Everything is cooked fresh, we serve a variety of delicious meals including sandwiches, salads, small plates, and larger, more hearty dishes, including our famous Lambing Shed burger. Oh yes, and don't miss our daily specials! We serve breakfast until 11:30am, along with a full lunch menu from 11:45am. After your delicious meal, why not treat yourself to one of Carole's homemade cakes or scones.
Don't forget that your furry friends are welcome in our conservatory too which is equipped with heaters to keep you warm.
Charlotte: We will have to bring our pug Benji next time! I'm sure he'd be begging for a bit of the Lambing Shed burger! As well as the cafe you also have a beautiful farm shop attached, can you tell us a bit about that?
Jenna: The Lambing Shed Farm Shop now boasts over 45 local suppliers (all of which can be seen here) housing produce that ranges from fresh fruit and veg, dairy products and ice cream, to jams, chocolates, wine and tea, and much much more. The Lambing Shed prides itself not only on its home-reared Cheshire beef and lamb, but also on the ever expanding home-made produce it sells, which now includes a range of freshly prepared ready to cook meals, for customers to take home and enjoy. Our Farm Shop has an Award-Winning Butchery as well as a Deli that is full of delicious ready-to-eat takeaway treats.
Charlotte: We love supplying the cafe and shop with tea and being surrounded by, as you say, lots of local suppliers. You also serve sit in and takeaway afternoon teas, both of which are really popular. How would someone go about booking in or ordering one?
Jenna: The types of afternoon tea we offer are:
Traditional Afternoon Tea
We offer a Traditional Afternoon tea, including a variety of sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam along with a selection of sweet treats.

Charlotte: There's such a wide choice with something for everyone. We are so proud to be included as your tea merchants! Do you have a favourite Tea From The Manor and why?
Jenna: I love the Tea From The Manor Peppermint Tea, its refreshing flavour is calming and delicious. It's 'calm' in a cup!
Charlotte: 'Calm in a cup' I love that! We'll have to use that! Apart from the peppermint tea and being a family business like yourself is there any other reason you use Tea From The Manor?
Jenna: Tea From The Manor was one of the first local suppliers we had in The Lambing Shed. James was so passionate about his product we couldn't not stock Tea From The Manor. Also their tea range is fantastic!
Charlotte: Thank you so much, it's been so long that we've served you now it's like you're part of our family too! Other than your gorgeous cafe and brilliant farm shop why else should people visit The Lambing Shed?
Jenna: Take The Lambing Shed out on a picnic! Don't want to sit in? We offer Takeaway Graze boxes which are perfect for a hassle free picnic.
