SPOTLIGHT ON ... QUY MILL HOTEL AND SPA
We are very excited to announce our new partnership with Quy Mill Hotel and Spa. We were lucky enough to gain a sneak peak of their brand new tea room and have a tour of their incredible hotel. We will now be supplying loose leaf tea for their beautiful Afternoon Tea experience.
Once an historic watermill, Quy Mill Hotel & Spa is a secluded haven which offers delightful hotel accommodation in Cambridge. It is the only hotel in Cambridgeshire to be awarded the Silver Star award by the AA.
Our sales executive Charlotte spoke to Lee Griffiths, Quy Mill Hotel & Spa's Sales and Marketing Manager about our collaboration.
Charlotte: It must be incredibly exciting to be getting ready to invite people back in to your hotel. What are you most looking forward to when reopening?
Lee: The reveal of our newly decorated tea room and the beautiful loose leaf tea we will be providing to our guests. As well as seeing customers enjoy eating indoors for the first time, in what feels like the longest time.
Charlotte: It's going to be so great to see hotels up and running again. What exciting things do you have planned for people to enjoy this summer?
Lee: Having the largest Outdoor Inn in Cambridgeshire, the most exciting thing, will be reliant on the great British weather.
Charlotte: So true! I feel like we've had such a bad time recently, surely the sun can be kind to us! That will be great for people to enjoy this summer, I see you have a marque though so prepared for all weather! I can't wait to return to see you all with customers around it will be so joyful! Why do you think people should visit Quy Mill Hotel and Spa?
Lee: We offer traditions like afternoon tea with contemporary flair, whilst delivering award wining high levels of service. Whilst in the area you can also visit a plethora of wonderful tourist attractions on our doorstep, in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk
Charlotte: It sounds wonderful! You mentioned your brand new afternoon tea area can you tell us about that?
Lee: We have a uniquely decorated and dedicated contemporary tea room, where we offer memorable, iconic and quintessentially British afternoon tea, served in fine bone china.
With a refined take on the everyday ‘builders tea’, serving on inviting three-tier afternoon tea stands with a whole host of finger food and delicate bite-sized homemade sandwiches and cakes.
You have to experience it first-hand! What are you waiting for the cream and jam won’t spread itself.
Charlotte: It sounds delicious. I'm there! The combination of tea and scones is always a winner! Do you have favourite a tea from the Manor and why?
Lee: For me personally it’s the English Breakfast – nothing beats the glowing amber of loose leaf English Breakfast tea. But the most popular on the menu has to be the Earl Grey Flower tea, it still surprises people who suggest its normally too floral, yet it’s called Earl Grey flower tea.
Charlotte: The Earl Grey Flower is always such a hit! Other than the taste of the teas are there any other reasons you like to use Tea From The Manor?
Lee: We are proud to support, Tea from the Manor, a business like ourselves. A family business, steeped in history, offering quality products to its customers.
