Famed and sought after for its unique smoky, drawn-out flavour. This is a large leaf tea widely regarded as being amongst the best of the black Chinese teas.
This unique smoky flavour is all down to the pinewood smoke that permeates the tea leaves when they're being dried. The result provides a smoky, golden tea that will evoke forests of pine trees with every sip.
This tea is a particular favourite to drink on those cold, winter nights, especially bonfire night. Many cooks use Lapsang Souchong in the kitchen to smoke fish Lapsang Souchong seabass is a real culinary delight.
To drink as a tea we would recommend just off the boil water and steep the tea for 2-3 minutes.
