This is a beautiful tea with its origins in India. The leaf is dark, small and neat giving the liquor a good mix of flavour and punch. 

This tea, most of which is grown at or near sea level is a classic tea often found in English Breakfast blends. So if you're looking for something a little more adventurous but don't want to stray too far from your 'normal cuppa' Assam is a great tea to try.
 
We would recommend boiling water and steep the tea for 2-3 minutes.
