A highly sought-after, slightly sweet green tea. The leaves are flat due to its unique processing that involves pan frying the leaves. This tea has a refreshing, delicate, chestnut like flavour.

Long Jing, which literally translates to Dragon Well, has a few different stories as to why it is given this name.  It might be because it was believed a dragon who lived in the well controlled the rain, the dragon was prayed to if rain was needed. Another meaning might be that Longjing was a temple where monks planted tea. We love both stories!

Long Jing is a spring tea picked in early April, following Qing Ming, the traditional Chinese holiday for paying respects to their ancestors.

We would recommend 75 degrees celsius water and steep the tea for 1 minutes. Careful not to scold these leaves or steep for too long as the tea may become bitter.

Our Dragon Well tea comes in a red and white bag with display window (50g) or a large white bag (250g or 500g).
