A large leaf tea widely regarded as being amongst the best of the black Chinese teas. Famed and sought after for its unique smokey, drawn-out flavour.
This tea grows in soil that gives the leaf a light tarry character, which is enhanced further by firing the tea over wood chippings. This unique flavour is all down to the pinewood smoke that permeates the tea leaves when they're being dried. The result provides a smoky, golden tea that will evoke forests of pine trees with every sip. A particular favourite to drink on those cold, winter nights.
